SCHEDULE

Since the appearance of the first computers I started programming - at first it was with a ZX Spectrum 48K later with an Amstrad 512

ZxSpectrum 48k

Nowadays it will be hard to imagine what it was like to program with only 48K of memory, using audio cassettes, and using only 16 colors. It used the BASIC language, very rudimentary and with functions like GOTO and GOSUB.

I had a lot of fun writing code that I learned in magazines and then changing it to get more of these games and applications, creating new levels, infinite lives etc...

Nowadays we have Emulators for Spectrum for PC and para smartphones.

Amastrad CPC 646

I think we had one of these right after Spectrum

Programming languages

I first explored BASIC with Spectrum and subsequent computers.
Then Pascal.
Then Clipper, a language more oriented to working with databases in DOS and obeying the XBASE standards.
SQL, Visual Basic, C, C#, C++, Java were some of the languages that I explored during my student years.
Programming languages today
Currently programming in Visual C# starting to explore Python.
Motivating students to code by exploring free online tools like:
code.org
CodeCombat
Tynker
Open Roberta Lab
And mobile apps that you can consult here in this symbaloo webmix "Robotics and Programming"
